- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
- Oversee sourcing and procurement of various component types, including electronics, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and packaging & sundries.
- Manage material procurement to meet production demands for global factories.
- Handle indirect material purchases, such as EDP, IT hardware/software, manufacturing equipment, and factory site maintenance services.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate prices, and monitor supplier performance based on quality, capability, and commercial terms.
- Continuously improve supplier base by developing potential suppliers and eliminating sub-standard ones.
- Monitor BOM cost and develop action plans for cost improvement through alternative components or design enhancements.
- Develop and implement department procedures, work instructions, and control points.
- Collaborate with engineering and marketing teams to identify new technology/component sourcing opportunities
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management
- Familiarity with procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using procurement tools and systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is required, Japanese speaking will be a competitive advantage.
