- Oversee wine inventory management, including monitoring inter-transfers, processing invoices, purchase requisition and ensuring appropriate and sensible stock levels
- Administer holiday and seasonal wine orders, coordinating deliveries and promoting wine-related events. e.g. Weekend wine tasting, Town Club wine tasting, Town & Country Club Wair fair and Black Friday events
- Report and work closely with the Store’s Retail Manager and Assistant Director of F&B in daily operations, as well as supporting the Store team on member service.
- Maintain high hygiene standards, particularly concerning proper wine storage
- Stay informed about wine trends and enhance product knowledge to meet Members' needs. Attend regular training sessions, briefings, and meetings as required. Enhance the Club's image by delivering a high standard of service and premium wine products
- Keep a daily log of Members’ feedback and preferences regarding wine selections, promptly addressing any concerns with management. Engage with Members through various channels—email, order platforms, phone, and in-person—providing exceptional service tailored to wine enthusiasts
- Implement initiatives to continuously improve service and wine sales performance. Produce wine sales analysis reports on a monthly basis
- Design and implement promotional and seasonal wine selections for holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Easter
- Strive to improve overall service performance while driving wine sales and revenue growth
- Flexibility in scheduling, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate wine events and promotions
- Responsible for monitoring and updating Wine lover society membership and keep Finance dept up-to-date information, including making sure that the mailing list is updated. Attend the Wine Lovers Society meetings and support administration of meetings as required
- University/College Graduate
- Minimum of 3 years of retail sales experience in beverage outlets or grocery store environments, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory
- Strong knowledge of U.S. wine brands and local suppliers; connections with local suppliers are a plus
- Good understanding of the retail landscape in Hong Kong and the U.S., with awareness of local competition
- Excellent spoken and written English; strong communication skills for effective interaction across all levels
- Proven supervisory and training skills; ability to motivate the team by leading through example, particularly in wine sales
- In-depth knowledge of wines and spirits, with a passion for enhancing Members’ experiences
- Achieved WSET level 3 or above. Master of sommelier is an advantage
- Sales-oriented with superior member-contact skills; highly people and service-oriented
- A responsible self-starter who is confident, reliable, and able to work independently
- A team player who is patient, positive, energetic, resourceful and treat other with respect
- Good judgment and common sense in making timely decisions
