The Director, Asia Distribution Risk & Control (a.k.a. Distribution Line 1B), will report to the Regional Head of Asia Distribution Risk & Control and support the execution of the Distribution Quality Operating Model (DQOM). The DQOM aims to execute Asia’s Sales Conduct Framework to develop, implement and monitor the sales quality controls in the sales distribution channels for the Life insurance business in the market. The objective is to ensure that the key distribution related risks are properly identified, assessed and managed/governed.Position Responsibilities:LeadershipLead by matrix and develop the Business Unit Distribution Line 1B teams and processesPromote and drive a strong risk management culture within the local Distribution (L1A and L1B) teamsGovernance/ReportingEvaluate current and identify emerging distribution risks facing the business in BU’s across Asia and ensure that controls are properly focusedOversee the governance process for escalation of material risks from BU'sMonitor Distribution Quality by reviewing the trends and action plans mitigating distribution risks from the DistQ Indices & DistQAR submitted by BU monthly and quarterlySecretariat of the Asia Distribution & Sales Risk Committee to provide senior management with oversight of the Distribution risks, status of remediation actions and initiatives.Report key Distribution risks and action plans/initiatives to Emerging Market Risk Review and Asia Risk Committee.Collaborate with Asia Line 2 Risk Management & Compliance to drive the continuous improvement & implementation of the risk management framework/internal & external compliance requirements, methodology, tools, CAP closures and reporting.Respond to Asia Line 3 Audit Services and Line 2 Compliance’s findings and assist/objectively challenge L1A in the remediation plans and ensure timely closure for Asia Distribution CAP'sPerform deep dive analysis on the result of Welcome calls, Mystery Shopping and/or other Group/Regional initiatives and coordinate with Risk, Compliance and Distribution team to develop actionable plan to improve the sales quality.Data AnalyticsSupport the scoping, roll-out, adoption and continuous improvement of data-driven analytics tools across Asia such as Distributor Conduct Compliance Dashboard, Neo4j, Propensity to Lapse predictive models, etc., to proactively prevent and manage sales misconduct risksPerform trend analysis / irregular sales activities monitoring from distributor conduct analytics like DistQ Indices, DCCD, Neo4j, Welcome Calls.
