Salary : HK$28,500 per month
Working location : Units 1709 and 1711, 17/F, Tower I, Grand Central Plaza, 138 Shatin Rural Committee Road, Shatin, and/or other venues (museums or non-museums, indoor or outdoor) as requested by the supervisors.
Working Hours :
- Normal service hour: Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm (one-hour meal break is included) excluding public holidays. The actual working hours will be arranged by the Section's supervisors subject to operational needs.
- Normal number of service days per week: 5 days
- Mandatory duty during irregular hours, on Saturdays and/or public holidays, is required. The overtime work will be compensated by time-off in lieu.
- The Assistant Manager (Marketing and Community Engagement) is entitled to general holidays (public holidays). However, he/she may be arranged to work on general holidays (public holidays) subject to operational needs. The overtime work will be compensated by time-off in lieu.
- to coordinate and assist in implementing the promotion and public engagement projects with the aims to promote LCSD museums and museum culture; to broaden the audience base of our museums; and to enable the general public, especially the museum volunteers, elderly and youth, to take part in our museum activities;
- to coordinate the production and assist in managing TWO series of marketing and public engagement event (offline) and the respective TWO online versions (such as website or social media platform), such as being the event runners, handling the event materials, hosting the events and interacting with the public; and to liaise with different museum units, vendors and participants;
- to coordinate the production and assist in producing promotional videos, printed and digital marketing and promotional materials for projects, such as social media feeds, e-NEWS, publications and souvenirs;
- to assist in planning and execution of TWO special branding projects, and to liaise with different museum units and vendors;
- to assist in planning and managing ONE museum volunteer project, and to liaise with different partners, e.g. non-government organisations and academic organisations;
- to assist in producing TWO museum publications, namely Museum Journal and Museum Bulletin, including proofreading, editing and coordinating with the authors and designers;
- to provide administrative support to the MBDS (e.g. filing, papers and memos drafting, logistics arrangement for meetings and events, including but not limited to venue booking and set-up; filing and document management, etc.); and
- to perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- have a bachelor's degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent, preferably in museum studies, arts, marketing, communication;
- have a level 3 or above result in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
- have at least 3 years of work experience in cultural, creative or marketing industries, such as marketing campaigns, education and public engagement, event management, publishing, video productions, arts administration and development of mar-com materials;
- have good knowledge in the application of common business software of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Chinese word processing;
- have good command in both English and Chinese;
- have good communication and organisation skills
- has good knowledge of cultural services, including museums;
- has sound knowledge in the application of design software such as Photoshop;
- has sound knowledge and experience in photo-taking, video-shooting, photo touchup and simple editing:
- proficiency in using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Xiaohongshu.
'Grade C' in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' in English Language and Chinese Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
