It hasone of Hong Kong's largest chest centres and is the first hospital in Hong Kong to establish a department ofrehabilitation. The Hospital is also the first to inaugurate a pulmonary rehabilitation programme, apsychogeriatric day hospital, and a substance abuse clinic. It also provides a number of community outreachservices. The Hospital has a staff force of 2345, consisting of 81 doctors, 897 nurses, 218 allied health staffand 1149 other grades of staff as of July 2025.Hong Kong Eye HospitalThe Hong Kong Eye Hospital was established in 1992 and provides a comprehensive secondary ophthalmicservice for patients in the Kowloon region and tertiary referrals throughout the territory. The services includegeneral ophthalmology and various subspecialty services with 45 day and inpatient beds. As at July 2025,the Hospital has a total of 368 staff consisting of 47 doctors, 91 nurses, 32 allied health staff and 198 othergrades of staff.JobSuccessful candidate will report to the Cluster Chief Executive (Kowloon Central) and the Hospital GoverningCommittees of Kowloon Hospital and Hong Kong Eye Hospital. He/she will be the overall manager of thehospitals with the following key responsibilities:1. Lead the management team, health care professionals and supporting staff in the respective hospitals to ensure their effective provision of quality patient-centred health care service.2. Establish and implement strategic directions, operational objectives, plans and policies for the hospitals to maximize and further their potential.3. Manage the daily operations of the hospitals and work closely with the community and other relevant key stakeholders to achieve the highest level of performance.4. Manage the budget and resources within the hospitals and be accountable for the results.5. Contribute to the effective and efficient management of the Cluster by participating in relevant management groups.Requirements1. Tertiary education.2. Considerable senior management experience in health care services.3. Good knowledge of and relevant experience in the operation of public hospitals preferably in Hong Kong.4. Strong leadership qualities as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.5. Analytical, innovative and committed to achieving strategic results.6. Possession of medical/healthcare administration qualification is a definite advantage. For applicants who are registered medical practitioners, possession of Fellowship or Associate Fellowship of Hong Kong College of Community Medicine is an added advantage.7.
