Our Institutional bank helps our largest customers move trade and capital around the region, providing our people with great opportunities to build their technical expertise and their careers.About the RoleAs an Associate Director/ Director, Rates Investor Sales, you will assist in the build out of the Greater China Rates distribution business (flow and non-flow) for the bank, working in close conjunction with DCM, Rates Trading, Structuring. You will be expected to develop new relationships and deepen existing relationships with China investor accounts to grow our share of wallet. The role will also require close alignment with Rates Sales globally as well as credit sales locally.Role Type: Permanent, Full TimeWhat will your day look like?Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Manage direct costs to achieve agreed financial targets for Rates Sales team.
  • Promote sales/trading cooperation and engage with trading teams to maximise Global Markets result.
  • Support the delivery of key sales aspects of the Markets strategy and Asia regional development
  • Pro-actively sell or cross-sell risk management products to the client base and new customers, where appropriate to their needs including Credits, FX, Rates, structured derivatives and other financial markets products that the Bank may offer.
  • Implement and monitor identified front office control checks and deal processes to limit transactional processing risk issues prevent operational risk/dealing errors.
What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
  • Strong Investor Sales background and extensive knowledge of the relevant markets.
  • Experience with working in a team across multiple geographies and time zones is required.
  • Experience in dealing with internal and external clients and negotiating with clients and stakeholders at all seniority levels.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to drive results.
  • Technical knowledge in fixed income products (flow and non-flow).
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory framework and requirements in the countries ANZ Markets operates in.
  • Fluent in Mandarin is essential for this role.
