Job DescriptionJob Summary:As Part of the Global Direct Material procurement group, the Global Procurement Category Lead - Paper/Ink will be responsible for managing the procurement categories, identifying and executing strategic initiatives to improve the category and drive overall performance (incl. Cost Savings, Compliance, Sustainability, etc.). The Category Lead will also drive or support the supplier selection process, negotiations, and supplier relationship management according to the category archetype (center led, networked or decentralized). The Category Lead will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure that category requirements are met effectively, efficiently and at the lowest total cost of ownership.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category strategies that align with business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet the organization's needs in terms of quality, delivery, cost, and service level agreements.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. product development, operation etc) to understand business needs and requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and maintain category-specific metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Drive cost savings and value creation initiatives within the category.
- Develop and maintain category-specific policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Keep up-to-date with market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies in the Textiles categories.
- Strong sense to create sustainable saving pipeline (e.g. Scope 3 etc.)
- Prior experience in Paper/Ink category management preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights.
- Proficiency in procurement technology and systems.
