(Post Ref.: 24/111)The School of Graduate Studies is established for strengthening the central support for postgraduate programmes as well as the monitoring of their quality in alignment with the University's strategic direction of expanding and providing quality postgraduate education. It also proactively seeks collaboration with leading institutions in the international academic communities to co-organise scholarly activities to enhance postgraduate student learning.Being a member of the Research Postgraduate (RPg) Team, the appointee will be required to provide a wide range of administrative support to matters pertaining to RPg studies, from academic quality assurance of programmes, admissions, registration, records, assessment and financial sponsorships, to day-to-day academic services to RPg students. The appointee is also expected to provide secretarial support to committees, assist in the development, management and enhancement of RPg data repository systems and data analytics, and automation work projects, and perform other duties as assigned.Requirements
Applicants should have (i) a good first degree plus at least seven years of relevant experience (those with five years of experience or more but with less than seven will be considered for the post of Assistant Administrative Manager II), preferably in supporting RPg matters; (ii) considerable administrative experience with a high level of competence in committee work; (iii) very strong analytical and logical thinking, and interpersonal, communication, coordination and problem solving skills; (iv) a very good command of written and verbal English and Chinese (including Putonghua), especially with a high level of English proficiency in writing reports, proposals and minutes; (v) the ability to take the initiative and to carry out duties independently and under tight schedule; and (vi) a strong sense of responsibility. Previous experience in automation of processes and knowledge of IT applications will be a definite advantage.Salary and Fringe Benefits
