- Formulate strategies to ensure the Insurance Business of the Bank including but not limited to Life Product, Partnership, Distributions and Operations) to be complied with internal policies and regulatory requirement with the goal of facilitating the Bank to build and sustain a prominent Insurance Business
- Perform risk assessment to the changing customer and business needs, and ensure the respective control is in place as well as it efficiency
- Anticipate emerging threats inherent to the daily business and develop solutions to address the challenges and minimize the potential exposure of the Bank and Hang Seng Insurance
- Implement the Business Continuity Plan - to create a system/ process of prevention and recovery from potential threats to Hang Seng Insurance
- Establish strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to risk stewards, and external stakeholders, including but not limited to regulatory bodies; acting as First Line of Defense.
- Keep all stakeholders in HSIC abreast of any changes on risk and control policies / guidelines. Identify any gaps in the current practices compared to relevant policies and guidelines.
- Monitor sales practices / quality / process and ensure it is in compliance with internal and external policies/ regulations.
- Lead a team of Business Risk & Control Managers and Business Compliance Managers and strengthen Hang Seng Insurance's First Line of Defense
- A proven business leader with a wealth of risk management or internal audit experience in the field of insurance
- Strong commercial acumen and leadership skills with the ability to effectively influence key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Highly competent in managing and leading the engagement with a large and diverse group of senior stakeholders with sound judgement and confidence in navigating and handling complex issues.
- Strategic focus and thought leadership with customer centricity insights and agile problem-solving in change environments.
- Strong resilience level with the ability to safeguard her/his positive attitude in challenging and ever-changing environment
- Proven experience in building and leading a high performing diverse team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or relevant subjects
