Posting Date: 2025-08-26The Hong Kong University Of Science and TechnologyCampus Management OfficeFacilities Works Supervisor (Building Maintenance) (Job ID: 10927)The Building Maintenance Unit is responsible to manage all aspects of building maintenance with an aim to provide a well-maintained, safe and sustainable environment for all users. Applications are now invited from qualified individuals for the position of Facilities Works Supervisor (Building Maintenance). The appointee will be responsible for the following:
  • Monitor manpower and material resources for routine repairs and maintenance of the campus and oversee quality and quantity of contractors' works;
  • Organize facilities maintenance services and monitor quality in compliance with the relevant codes for repairs and maintenance;
  • Carry out duties assigned for facilities and estate/property management and assist in events organization;
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and safety requirements and create a culture of safety first across all operations;
  • Carry out survey and inspection, respond to emergency and organize urgent works;
  • Supervision of the in-house building maintenance workshop;
  • Knowledge and experience in plumbing and drainage system and infrastructure is an advantage; and
  • Perform any responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
Applicants should have an associate degree/higher diploma/higher certificate in building technology, building surveying or related disciplines; or a diploma/certificate in building technology, building surveying or related disciplines with 3 years of relevant experience in building repair and maintenance. The appointee should possess in-depth knowledge relating to building repairs and maintenance, safety and building management, and proven experience in supervision of subordinates and contractors.
