Job PurposeWe are seeking an innovative and visionary leader to strategically guide our information technology operations and drive technological advancements across the organization. This role aims to enable the Society to enhance its service performance and achieve its vision, mission, and organizational goals in helping children with special educational needs (SEN).The Head of Information Technology will lead a committed team and provide strategic advice as part of the senior management team. Work closely with the Service Team, Internal Department, and IT Committee to ensure a cohesive technological approach.Qualified experts are invited to apply for the opportunity to lead, formulate, and implement IT strategies and action plans for initiatives, projects, cyber security and infrastructure. The Head of Information Technology will have the opportunity to significantly influence our organization and contribute to enhancing the lives of the children we serve.Job Duties * Manage the IT Department in maintaining and ensuring the operational efficiency of project management, infrastructure, application, system, technical support, and cyber security, and to be responsible for job allocation, coaching, supervision, training, and development of team members.
  • Formulate and develop the IT strategic plan in alignment with the organisation’s overarching strategic objectives.
  • Stay abreast of upcoming system solutions, trends and new technology available in the market in formulating IT strategies to the management and Information Technology Committee, including goals, priorities, policies and cost management to achieve optimal performance such as reliability, efficiency, recoverability and innovation.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate activities such as proposal writing, tendering, vendor sourcing to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budget, liaise with vendors and other departments/users for system enhancements and development, use stakeholders’ feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and manage IT budgets and expenses to evaluate technological performance, and maintain an accurate inventory records.
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks related to IT and cyber security, as well as software and hardware management.
  • Maintain operational efficiency by reviewing and providing advice on the procurement, vendor management and maintenance of hardware, software, network systems, and IT applications.
  • Ensure robust data management and cybersecurity measures to protect consumer data and comply with industry and legal regulations.
  • Provide user training, professional advice and support to the departments and service units on matters relating to IT such as corporate website, social media, online donation and payment, training platform, etc.
  • Discharge any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements * Solid experience in IT planning & management, project management, network & server administration, security & monitoring, and help desk support supervision
  • Proven track record in developing and managing large scale projects, with ability to engage stakeholders within or outside the organization
  • Proficiency in working with Linux, Microsoft Windows Server, Office 365 administration, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, MS SQL Server, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Knowledge of Network Infrastructure, Firewall, Switch, Wifi AP, VPN, Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus, and IT security
  • Energetic, proactive, resourceful, and a strategic thinker
  • Strong team leadership and ability to develop, coach and inspire team for success. '
  • Be an ambassador to user departments and major stakeholders to serve their needs and requirements
  • Possessing over eight years of experience in information technology at managerial level, with at least five of those years in a leadership capacity at a major corporation. A fast learner and can seamlessly adapt to non-commercial entities and their unique environments.
Terms * Two-year renewable contract for outside applicants
  • A probationary period of six months will be applicable.
  • Three-month notice period
  • Monthly Salary: 70K-90K
