
GARMENT TECHNICIAN / FITTING TECHNICIAN - Europe buying office sports/outdoor wear/casual garment brand (Causeway Bay/5 days)

- We are a European multinational corporation, owner of a globally recognized garment brand specializing in outdoor, sports, and casual wear for women, men, and children.
- Our Hong Kong office serves as the regional sourcing and operations hub, supporting product development and vendor collaboration across Asia.
- We are seeking a skilled Garment Technician to lead fit development and technical specifications across our apparel collections.
- This role involves creating fit tech packs, conducting live and dummy fittings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence from prototype to final approval.
- Create fitting tech packs aligned with Asian and international body standards
- Conduct fitting sessions on live models and dummies from first prototype to final OK Fit (counter/size set)
- Provide detailed fit and workmanship comments throughout development stages
- Collaborate with vendors to achieve desired fit and construction quality
- Perform risk assessments during development to identify and resolve potential issues before PPS
- Work closely with internal teams (Collection, Product Development, HQ Fitting, Quality, Sourcing, Marketing, Supply Chain) and external vendors
- Validate nest patterns once fit is approved
- Coordinate with QC teams to resolve fit/workmanship issues at PPS stage
- Review design sketches for clarity and completeness
- Create measurement specifications based on garment sketches and body standards
- Manage sample requests via PLM system
- Adapt European fit styles for Asia Fit requirements
- Review and study Corrective Action Plans (CAP) from vendors
- Train new vendors on company fitting processes and standards
- Visit vendor sample rooms and factories to assess capabilities
- Contribute to Basic Block Projects using 2D and transition to 3D development
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Garment Technician or Technical Designer, with live model fitting experience in a buyer office or trading company
- Background in sports, outdoor, or casual apparel brands
- Proficient in PLM systems, 2D pattern software, and ideally familiar with 3D design tools
- Higher Diploma or Degree in Textiles, Fashion, or related fields
- Strong ability to analyze fit, improve workmanship, and prevent safety issues related to garment construction
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin
- Willingness to travel to factories abroad as needed
- Competent in MS Office, PLM, and CAD software
