We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Helpdesk Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT team at a leading insurance firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Level 1 and Level 2 IT support to our investment management business users, with a strong focus on Bloomberg terminals and other trading/investment applications. This is a critical floor support role that ensures high availability and smooth operations of technology.The Role
- Provide Level 1 & Level 2 desktop support to investment management floor (Bloomberg terminal)
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Bloomberg terminals, including software updates, permissions, and hardware issues.
- Offer go-live support for system rollouts and user onboarding within the investment department.
- Address and resolve general queries, incidents, and service requests related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and investment applications.
- Collaborate with application teams and vendors (e.g. Bloomberg support) for escalations and advanced troubleshooting.
- Maintain and track inventory of IT assets, including Bloomberg keyboards, terminals, and monitors.
- Perform basic network and connectivity troubleshooting (e.g. LAN, VPN, Bloomberg private lines).
- Document issues, resolutions, and processes in the ITSM platform
- Support audio/visual setup for meetings, investment committee calls, and video conferences.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and best practices in all support activities.
- Participate in after-hours support and critical incident handling during investment hours as needed.
- 3-6 years experience, preferably with exposure to investment management / asset management / trading floor environments.
- Hands-on experience with Bloomberg Terminal installation, configuration, and user support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS (10/11), Microsoft Office 365, and Active Directory troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with market data systems, financial applications, and investment-specific tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, particularly in desktop, laptop, printer, and mobile device support.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to support high-pressure users in time-sensitive situations.
- Strong English and Cantonese language skills.
