Technical Officer in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 533006)We are seeking a motivated and skilled Bioinformatician to join our research team focusing on kidney research and inflammatory and fibrotic disease mechanisms.Duties and Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive analysis of RNA-Seq and single-cell RNA-Seq data
Process, analyze and interpret metagenomics datasets
Develop pipelines and scripts for sequencing data preprocessing, quality control, alignment, and downstream analysis
Assist in preparing data visualization for publication

Qualifications and Requirements

A Master's degree or above in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field with at least 2 year's post-qualification experience
Demonstrated experience with RNA-Seq and single-cell RNA-Seq analysis
Proficiency in programming language R and Python, and experience with bioinformatics tools
Experience in developing bioinformatics pipeline and maintaining computer server
Track record of publications in bioinformatics analysis
Good communication skills, self-motivated, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, organized and be able to work independently as well as in a team
Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in bioinformatics and Computational Biology with strong interest in translational research
