- Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization; evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
- Developing and overseeing the company's budgeting process, working collaboratively with department heads to establish budgets, understand departmental financial needs, and monitor adherence to financial plans.
- Implementing rigorous expense management strategies across the company. Collaborating with department heads to identify cost-saving measures and optimizing resource allocation.
- Preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities and lead the cost benefit analysis for capital expenditures and other investments.
- Partnering with senior leadership to develop financial strategies and plans that support organizational growth and align with the company’s goals.
- Ensuring that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
- Understanding and mitigating key elements of the company's risk profile; monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
- Managing the company’s cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.
- Managing relationships with banks, and financial institutions. Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters at select board of directors and committee meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or master’s degree in a financial discipline preferred.
- CPA or equivalent qualification with a strong understanding of accounting standards and international taxation.
- Proven experience as CFO or equivalent, particularly in an organization with a complex international structure.
- Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, control, and reporting within a global business environment.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
- Experience in the medical device or healthcare industry is highly desirable.
