Our client is a Global Luxury Retail Group, and they are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager (Shared Service – APAC focus) to join their team in Hong Kong. This is a 6-month renewable contract basis. As the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the finance shared services function for our luxury group. This role requires a strong background in finance, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of shared services operations.Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the finance shared services team (APAC), providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure the team's effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance shared services function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Develop and implement best practices and standardized processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness within the shared services function.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, identifying and addressing any gaps or risks.
  • Collaborate with other finance functions, such as financial planning and analysis, tax, and treasury, to support overall finance objectives and initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, including business units and senior management, to understand their financial service requirements and provide timely and accurate financial information.
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional finance qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years of experience in a shared services leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance.
  • Experience in the luxury industry or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools, such as ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), financial reporting tools, and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
