The Head of People will play a pivotal role in driving and executing the company’s People Strategy, ensuring competitiveness in the market while aligning People initiatives with business objectives. This leader will oversee key areas like Compensation & Benefits (C&B), HR digitization, Talent Acquisition & Development, Learning & Development, Culture & Engagement, and overall People Operations. The role requires fostering a cohesive and inclusive work environment, promoting employee growth, and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.In this role, you will:
Compensation & Benefits (C&B)
- Develop and execute the company's Reward Strategy to maintain market competitiveness.
- Design, review, and implement compensation and benefits programs, including medical, pension, STI, and LTI schemes, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Validate salary offers and adjustments, ensuring alignment with company policies.
- Oversee payroll processing and HR operations.
- Manage the staff cost budget during the annual planning cycle.
- Stay updated on market trends and legal requirements to ensure compliance and innovation in C&B practices.
- Lead HR digitization and transformation projects to optimize HR systems for enhanced user experience.
- Harmonize, standardize, and streamline HR processes through automation.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver HR programs and projects that align with the company’s goals and values.
- Lead the C&B and HRIS functions, fostering collaboration and skills development across teams.
- Manage all HR functions, including Culture & Engagement, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Compensation & Benefits, and HR Analytics.
- Drive the company's People Strategy, aligning HR practices with overall business goals.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior management, offering advice on organization changes and implementing reorganizations when needed.
- Enhance employer branding and employee engagement through initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive culture.
- Oversee recruitment, performance management, and talent management cycles to ensure organizational stability and retention of high-performing individuals.
- Lead manpower planning and the annual staff cost budget exercise.
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities for People team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that supports diversity and inclusion.
- Oversee employee engagement initiatives to enhance satisfaction and teamwork.
- Conduct regular check-ins with team members to support their professional and personal growth.
- Plan and implement training programs in collaboration with the Talent Development team.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws in Hong Kong, China, and other relevant regions such as Singapore and the US.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Monitor HR-related financial targets and manage costs effectively.
- Prepare and manage the annual HR budget, identifying cost-reduction opportunities and improving efficiency.
- Analyze financial performance and support forecasting and planning activities.
- Represent the company professionally in internal and external engagements.
- Drive initiatives aligned with the company’s vision, mission, and values.
- Prepare succession and promotion plans and ensure career development for team members.
- Adapt to changes in business needs and contribute to strategic initiatives as required.
- Demonstrate company values through daily interactions with stakeholders.
- Promote creativity, innovation, and accountability within the team.
- Drive continuous improvement in HR practices and employee experience.
- Represent the company as a brand ambassador in internal and external settings.
- 15+ years of solid C&B and HR experience in sizable organizations.
- Comprehensive understanding of employment laws in Hong Kong and China; familiarity with Singapore and the US is a plus.
- Strong expertise in HR digitization and project management.
- Excellent analytical skills with high proficiency in data and excel.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and team management capabilities.
- Effective communication skills in English and Chinese.
