Date of Issue : 3 September 2025Position:Electrical Technician (Clinical Oncology)Rank:Electrical TechnicianCluster / Hospital / Department:Hong Kong West Cluster / Queen Mary Hospital / Department of Clinical OncologySalary:HK$30,244 – HK$55,233 (HGPS point 11 – 23) per month including Monthly AllowanceUp to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.Key Responsibilities:1. Provide preventive and emergency maintenance services for radiotherapy and radiological equipment, computer server and network system.2. Assist the Physicists to calibrate and perform dosimetric measurements and quality assurance checks on radiotherapy and radiological equipment.3. Assist the Physicists to perform computer / electronic / electrical / mechanical applications in radiological and related fields.4. Assist the Physicists to perform radiation survey and radiological protection measurements.5. Perform on-call duties and work irregular hours when required.6. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.7. Assist Physicists in work of unsealed radioactive sources.8. Be proficient in computer networking.Entry Requirements:1.A Higher Certificate or a Higher Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent from a polytechnic or technical institute in Hong Kong or equivalent.2.3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in equipment maintenance.3.Knowledge of English at a standard equivalent to Grade E or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (Syllabus B), or Level 2 or above in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education.Preferable Attributes / Exposure:1.Able to work independently and under pressure.2.Good analytical and problem solving skills.3.Experience in troubleshooting electronic equipment.4.Knowledge in networking equipment, firewall and LAN management.5.Knowledge in Microsoft Windows Server (DNS, Active Directory) and VMWare.6.Self-motivated, good interpersonal and communication skills, pleasant and mature personality.7.Professional certificate in networking such as Microsoft Certification in Networking or equivalent.8.Experience in network engineering in a hospital.QualificationsRemarks * Please refer to
