The Department of Psychiatry is seeking for an enthusiastic Research Assistant / Junior Research Assistant to join our projects investigating the mechanistic relationship and therapeutic impact of sleep disturbances on mood problems in both youth and adult populations.Applicants should have/be (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Sciences, Public Health, or any related discipline; (ii) good communication skills; (iii) well-organised, reliable and efficient; (iv) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; and (v) enthusiasm in research. Candidates with research experience in mental health problems and knowledge in statistical analysis will be advantageous.The appointee will be responsible for (a) pre-screening for potential participants and handling enquiries; (b) conducting clinical and research interviews; (c) performing biological measurements of sleep and circadian rhythms; (d) supporting the development and administrative management of research projects; (e) assisting in data entry and analysis; and (f) performing other tasks as assigned.
