Assistant Logistics Manager

- Coordinate and monitor import/export cargo operations, including air and sea transportation, trucking and warehousing arrangements
- Negotiate freight rates and service terms with airlines, shipping lines, trucking companies, and warehousing providers
- Prepare quotations and invoices by calculating transportation costs using logistics software
- Provide customer support for transportation related inquiries and assist other sales and operation staff as needed
- Prepare performance and operational reports, and participate in internal and external meetings
- Travel overseas occasionally and represent company at exhibitions and industry events
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in the freight forwarding industry or in cargo division of airlines
- Experience in both air and ocean freight operations
- Hands-on experience in issuing both air waybills and ocean bills of lading during the above operations
- Candidates with IATA DGR certification for handling dangerous goods will be viewed as an advantage
- Excellent communication in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
- Reporting to the direct manager will be conducted in English
- Occasional communication with clients in Mainland China is required
