- Oversee the full technology lifecycle of mission-critical financial systems, including core platform architecture, middleware, APIs, infrastructure, and data security
- Lead IT strategy and execution for enterprise systems integration, vendor onboarding, and platform development aligned with business and regulatory requirements
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams across application support, architecture, cybersecurity, and infrastructure, ensuring system resilience, scalability, and compliance
- Direct vendor engagement: from RFP and contract negotiation to service performance monitoring for third-party platforms
- Ensure secure and compliant data management practices, including encryption standards, data retention, access controls, and adherence to local and cross-border regulations
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and external partners to align IT deliverables with strategic objectives and timelines
- Oversee project delivery in build and run phases, ensuring delivery KPIs, budget control, and business continuity readiness
- Establish incident response protocols, DR capabilities, and monitoring across all business-critical systems
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is preferred
- At least 12 years of relevant IT leadership roles within financial institutions or market infrastructure organizations, with a strong track record managing enterprise-scale platforms
- Deep knowledge of enterprise system architecture and modular design, including system integration, microservices, messaging protocols (e.g. MQ, RESTful APIs, ISO 20022/15022), and full-stack development workflows
- Proven experience with SWIFT systems, including Alliance Access/Cloud, HSMs, RMA, and SWIFT Customer Security Programme (CSP) compliance requirements
- Skilled in infrastructure planning and deployment across on-prem and cloud environments, containerization, virtualization (VMWare), and system observability (e.g. monitoring/logging frameworks)
- Strong understanding of system security and resilience, including encryption standards, tokenization, PKI, and implementation of regulatory-grade security controls
- Demonstrated ability to manage third-party vendors across RFP, contract, implementation, and SLA and performance oversight, especially for mission-critical platforms with high throughput and availability requirements
- Effective leader of cross-functional teams (architecture, development, support, cybersecurity), with clear communication across technical and business stakeholders
- Prior experience working with regulatory requirements and operational standards in capital markets, payments, or post-trade environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and senior management to identify and address issues
