- Plan and conduct exercise testing and training monitoring to help athletes optimize their performance;
- Perform exercise data analysis and interpretation, prepare detailed reports, and provide advice to athletes, coaches, and other supporting staff when appropriate;
- Design and implement evidence-based conditioning and rehabilitation programs in collaboration with colleagues to address athletes needs and evolving competitive demands;
- Manage all data from training/competition into the central database;
- Provide both local and overseas on-field support to elite sport teams;
- Operate a range of lab equipment safely in compliance with the standard protocols;
- Perform operational tasks, quality control, maintenance and updating of testing equipment;
- Assist in research projects; and
- Perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by senior staff.
- A university degree in science, engineering, sports science, or related disciplines;
- Two years full-time working experience in related disciplines or two years full-time experience as an athlete within a high performance system and exposed to applied sports science;
- Good interpersonal and planning skills; ideally with some leadership experience;
- Able to work irregular hours and perform under pressure;
- Holder of valid first aid, CPR and AED certificate;
- Proficient in computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., VBA/ Python/ R, Power BI) is an advantage;
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. The ability to speak Cantonese and Putonghua is an advantage; and
- Awareness / knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong.
