- Execute mode assignments based on defined framework.
- Validate carrier/service-level compliance (e.g., expedited ocean SLAs vs. standard).
- Flag exceptions (e.g., urgent AIR requests) to line manager for approval.
- Provide real-time updates to markets on shipment statuses.
- Apply smart consolidation rules (e.g., grouping shipments by DC/Market).
- Monitor container fill rates and adjust bookings to avoid underutilization.
- Coordinate with 3PLs to ensure proper load sequencing (e.g., FIFO for perishable goods).
- Track actual vs. planned mode performance (e.g., SEA-AIR transit time deviations).
- Identify cost leaks (e.g., unapproved airfreight usage) and escalate to the line manager.
- Maintain audit trails of mode-change decisions for Finance reviews.
- Communicate mode-specific requirements to carriers.
- Work with 3PLs to ensure bookings align with adidas' routing guides.
- Resolve booking-level issues (e.g., carrier capacity shortages) in real time.
- Document root causes of mode failures (e.g., customs delays in SEA-AIR).
- Propose process tweaks to line manager (e.g., adjusting lead-time buffers for rail).
- Update SOPs for mode selection based on lessons learned.

- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to execute mode assignments and validate carrier/service-level compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills to track actual vs. planned mode performance and identify cost leaks.
- Effective communication skills to provide real-time updates to markets and communicate mode-specific requirements to carriers.
- Ability to apply smart consolidation rules and coordinate with 3PLs for load optimization.
- Proficiency in documenting root causes of mode failures and proposing process improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve booking-level issues and maintain audit trails for Finance reviews.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices, particularly in logistics and transportation.
- Proficiency in MS-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant software tools.
- A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis on business, economics, logistics, planning, supply chain, information systems, or operations; an MBA is a plus.
- A minimum of 4 years of work experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, ideally within an apparel/fashion supply chain or a fast-moving logistics environment.
- Experience in multi-national transportation logistics and project management, with a proven track record of implementing change and driving process improvements.
- Experience in coordinating with 3PLs and carriers, and managing daily mode selection and booking.
- Familiarity with global logistics operations and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
