The sales team transacts with this diverse set of clients on a high frequency basis across currencies and products (FX, FX options, Bonds, Interest Rate swaps, interest rate options, government bonds etc.) The sales team represents the firm in front of clients and work very closely with internal stakeholders including traders, structurers, and research analysts to provide best in class coverage and execution to external and internal clients.The role is based out of Hong Kong working in the Asia Macro Sales Team. The role will require a fast-learning, dynamic, pro-active and self-motivated person to assist the team in performing day to day tasks which include: client coverage, growing our franchise, trade execution and other ad hoc work.This role requires an individual who likes to work in a high intensity environment with a steep learning curve given the broad and fast moving nature of the macro markets.The basic skills required for the role are the ability to learn quickly, willingness to work hard and thrive in a high intensity working environment with tight deadlines.About the RoleWe are looking for an energetic and highly motivated individual to join the HK Macro Sales team with a focus on foreign exchange for our unique client base. The individual will have had some experience in covering clients before, but a specific background in covering macro is not necessary. The candidate will have a keen interest in macro markets and be responsible for extending coverage for our client base – particularly in Greater China.Key ResponsibilitiesThe role involves working on –Account Coverage: Coverage of accounts - coordinating and liaising internally and externally on account needs, increasing breadth and intensity of coverage and onboarding tasksRegular Market Color Update/Daily Tasks – preparing regular market update/trade ideas, updating trading axes, positioning report and flow reportExecution and Post-trade Processing - assist in trade execution and post-trade processing – ensuring trades correctly matched and recapped.Qualifications, Skills & RequirementsDegree Level EducationSkill set required:We are looking for a confident and outgoing person, who has exceptional attention to detail and is proactive in taking on challenges. We are looking for someone who has the hunger and passion to learn more on markets and a strong desire to succeed in the role.Passion for markets and hunger/desire to learn more and succeed is criticalMinimum 3 years of experience/exposure in markets will be valuable – in FX, FX options or interest ratesExcellent communication skills are a pre-requisite given the nature of the role – Native Mandarin required, Cantonese preferredPrevious experience in covering clients and providing consultancy on clients' hedging or investment needs is an advantage.
