- Responsible for system development and project implementation activities including the business requirement analysis, resource management, application development and documentation.
- Design and develop scalable and futureproof systems using latest proven technologies, e.g. Cloud.
- Cultivate a strong engineering centric team, by developing a high performance, disciplined problem solving, outcome driven team across HK and Shenzhen locations.
- Collaborate with teams across IT departments in various aspects.
- Provide production system support.
- Undertake any other assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Track and monitor development progress, and resolve technical conflicts and issues within team.
- Degree in Computer Science, IT or related disciplines.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in hands-on software development in large scale systems and mission critical with full resiliency, recovery and maintainability capabilities in nature.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in leading a team of s/w developers in same / remote sites.
- Solid knowledge in Linux, Database, CI/CD, Cloud/Containerization, Messaging / Middleware and relevant application relevant technologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of programming languages: Java, Javascript, SQL and shell programming.
- Financial services system development knowledge is a plus.
- Strong analytical and proactive mindset, self-starter and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in SDLC methodology and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
