The appointee will assist the Senior Manager to ensure high standards of safety and quality performance in construction works. The appointee will be responsible for the following main duties:
- Oversee safety, health and environmental pollution control aspects of construction works to ensure strict adherence with statutory, contractual and organisational requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to conduct regular audits of construction sites, identifying and reporting any non-compliance or areas for improvement related to safety, health and environmental issues to the Senior Manager.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to perform periodic quality checks at construction sites, documenting and reporting any quality-related non-compliance or areas for improvement issues to the Senior Manager.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry standards and practices related to quality and safety, proactively identifying areas where prevailing HA requirements and standards may need enhancement.
- Coordinate with in-house professionals and external auditors to facilitate the certification process for the division’s quality management system.
- Provide administrative support to the Tree Works Vetting Panel of HA.
- Perform other duties as required such as to ensure implementation of quality, safety, health and environmental pollution control standards and systems for the division including job rotation to other relevant post within and outside the division.
- For applicants in the discipline of surveyors, at least 1 year’s appropriate post-qualification experience.
- Strong commitment to quality service, with the ability to respond promptly and effectively to safety and quality issues in the building industry.
- Conversant with Hong Kong construction and building-related legislations and government procedures for ensuring safety and quality in capital works projects.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese, with good presentation skills.
- A high degree of self-motivation and strong organizational ability.
- Familiarity with audit procedures under internationally recognized standards (e.g. ISO).
- Proficiency of MS Office, project management and database software.
