The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:Assisting in planning, coordinating and implementing leadership development programme, with a special focus on nurturing and supporting student leaders within student organisations;Assisting in providing support to the development, operations and activities of non-sports student organisations affiliated to the office;Providing administrative support in processing applications of student society reconigtion and organising student-led activities;Providing administrative support in processing applications of campus life enrichment funds and other external subsidy schemes that enable students to participate in campus life enrichment and learning opportunities;Assisting in planning and organising university-wide campus life enrichment activities (e.g., Campus Life Induction, Welcome Week) in enriching students’ campus life; andPerforming any other duties assigned by the Director of Student Affairs or his/her nominee(s).The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours.Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:A recognized degree with a minimum of three years of relevant post-qualification work experience in education or social services sectors, preferably in student affairs or student development;Experience in student engagement as staff or as student leader would be an advantage;Strong communication skills in English and Chinese (including Putonghua), as well as excellcent interpersonal, analytical and orgsaniational skills; andSound computer knowledge, mature personality and ability to work under pressure.Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Student Affairs Officer.Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.Terms and Conditions for Appointment
