
Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager) in the Centre for Safe Medication Practice and Research

- Work with a team of researchers on community-related projects in the areas of mental well-being, mental disorders, public health, and other health-related fields. The work will also include evaluations of humanistic and clinical outcomes of community interventions and services; health preference elicitation using health survey methods (e.g., Discrete Choice Experiments and other health preference survey methodologies); quality of life measures; patient-reported outcome measures; survey validation; and economic evaluations.
- Perform literature reviews for community pharmacy-related projects.
- Assist with subject recruitment, study protocol design, recruitment logistics, survey design, and conducting face-to-face interviews (individual or focus group).
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
- Assist in the implementation of research projects in Hong Kong SAR and mainland China.
- Prepare human ethics applications for research projects.
- Prepare reports and manuscripts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A Master's degree, or a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience, in Public Health, Social Science, Social Work and Social Administration, Counselling, Health Economics, Health Sciences, Psychology, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related healthcare discipline.
- Experience in engaging and collaborating with different community stakeholders such as case workers, social workers, clinical psychologists, mental health organisations, and NGO partners will be an advantage.
- Experience in conducting mixed-methods studies (e.g., patient recruitment, individual and/or focus group interviews, questionnaire design, survey validation, data collection, and qualitative and quantitative analyses using tools such as NVivo, Qualtrics, R, or STATA) and quality of life research will be an advantage.
- Excellent coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese).
- A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attentiveness to detail.
- Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience will be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I (holding the functional title of Assistant Project Manager)
