Position: Research Executive
Client: Department of Health – Student Health Service

Service Period: 12 months
Work location: 4/F, Lam Tin Polyclinic, 99 Kai Tin Road, Kwun Tung
Working hour: 44 hours per week, normally 0900-1800
Salary: HK$32,000.00/monthQualification Requirement:
(a) Be a permanent resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;
(b) Have a Bachelor degree in Public Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
(c) Preferable to have a postgraduate diploma or Master degree or above in Public Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
(d) Have at least 2-year full time post-qualification working experience, preferably in public health or child health related fields, data analysis, researches and programme management;
(e) Meet the Language Proficiency Requirement : (i) Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or equivalent
(f) Have strong analytical, organization, co-ordination, communication and interpersonal skills;
(g) Be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English; and
(h) Be proficient in PC skills in particular the application of MS Office such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.(Note 1); or (ii) have (1) Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature and (2) Use of English at "Grade E" or above in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE), or equivalent; Have strong analytical, organization, co-ordination, communication and interpersonal skills; Be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English; and Be proficient in PC skills in particular the application of MS Office such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Job duties:
  • Providing professional input on children and adolescent health issues;
  • Coordinating the collection, compilation and analysis of health data;
  • Liaising with contractor on system enhancement on the electronic clinical platform and related data management;
  • Managing programmes including electronic enrolment implementation;
  • Searching, monitoring, collating, reviewing and appraising scientific and medical literature/evidence on various children and adolescent health issues;
  • Planning, designing and carrying out research projects including the preparation of epidemiology
  • reports and research projects on children and adolescent health issues;
  • Providing statistical support and/or other research support to epidemiology/public health studies;
  • Following up the adoption of New Growth References with growth data analysis;
  • Assisting in handling enquiries and liaison work related to health information and research;
  • Involving in supervisory and training activities, and other administrative work; and
  • Assisting in any other duties as assigned by the representative(s) of DH.
