You will receive active mentoring and sponsorship throughout the programme with key programme performance and evaluation checkpoints to ensure support and progress.Final Placement: Your performance and potential will be reviewed regularly, and post-programme placements will be aligned with your aspirations and strengths.Key Responsibilities:Direct the execution of site construction projects, evaluate alternative construction methodology, formulate site execution plan and oversee quality control and assurance activities in collaboration with other project managers, project team members and stakeholders;Oversee and direct engineering and construction activities, setting clear objectives and control mechanisms for various internal and external service providers;Support the preparation of construction plans and schedules; and establish site resources and management plan during the development phases of a project, with due consideration of interfaces and potential conflicts with other projects;Review and approve construction schedules, ensure contractor's conformity with contract terms and specification. Review and approve changes to work under construction due to unforeseen conditions;Ensure all site erection and construction activities are carried out in a world class safety and environmental protection standard to deliver the quality required;Ensure full compliance of the company Safety procedures / instructions and E&M safety rules on top of the minimum statutory requirements. Critically review safety plan provided by the contractors and identify any improvement measures with application of HoC (Hierarchy of Control) principle and with particularly deployment of 4S (Smart Site Safety System), BIM (Building Information Modelling) and SiD (Safety in Design) tools. Foster good safety culture within the team and allocate / monitor sufficient safety resources during the site execution. Conduct regular management site walk and lesson learnt sharing;Proactively identify emerging critical issues and risks that may impact project performance, and put in place effective mitigation / control measures and stakeholder management plan to ensure the project remains on track;Lead post-construction review, identify and capture lessons learnt and opportunities for improvement in future projects. Share experience and lessons learnt with relevant stakeholders, and where appropriate, promote best practices in project management with external parties.Implement special projects, where necessary through job rotation and job enrichment.Requirements:A recognized university degree in Engineering with minimum 6 years of working experience. At least 3 years' managerial experience extensively responsible in managing / executing / delivering large scale industrial / construction projects in Hong Kong supported by proven track record.Excellent business acumen with proven ability to conceptualize, design and carry out strategic analysis and effectively communicate recommendations to stakeholders.Strong analytical & critical thinking skills and numerical reasoning ability.Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.Good understanding of the power industry, understanding of Hong Kong regulation system on the industry is a plus.Strong track record of project construction management capability to manage a portfolio of complex industrial construction project. Preference will be given to candidates with prior hands-on experience in power station construction projects, or process plant design and construction.In-depth knowledge on construction technology, methodology and associated quality control / assurance techniques. Proficiency in the design and engineering of heavy lifting, rigging, construction activities, non-destructive testing of metal, and quality assurance / control will be an advantage.Conversant with all statutory and regulatory requirements and industry code of practices related to site construction activities. Knowledge in international best practices in construction management will be an added advantage.Ability to oversee a diverse range of project activities and manage the effective use of both internal and external resources, making sure they are directed towards the delivery of project performance.Flexibility and agility to cope with project uncertainties, to react to changes on an on-going basis, and the ability to balance project constraints to maximize project performance.In-depth knowledge in personnel safety, safe systems of works and process safety to ensure projects are designed, procured, constructed and operated safely in line with industry's best practice.Ability to work independently and deliver quality result under tight schedule.Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin).Possession of a corporate membership of HKIE or other recognized engineering professional bodies is an advantage.Work Location: Tuen MunApplicants not invited for interview within 6 weeks from the closing date may assume their applications unsuccessful.
