Department/ Hospital: Facility Management & Maintenance Department, United Christian Hospital
Pay: HK$26,908 to HK$32,140 [HGPS Point 9 – 12] per month including Monthly Allowance)
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.Key Responsibilities
To assist supervisors and managers in the management of day-to-day building and facilities repair and maintenance works, and any other services provided by the Department. The major duties are:
1. Perform shift duty, supervise and carry out the day-to-day repair, maintenance and improvement works.
2. Supervise the hospital maintenance team on the works of planned and corrective maintenance to the hospital.
3. Attend the hospital’s Building Management System (BMS) / Central Control and Monitoring System (CCMS) for continuous control and monitoring of the Electrical and Mechanical systems and any other systems serviced by the Department.
4. Liaise with parties concerned including external contractors (if applicable) for timely and smooth execution of various works and projects.
5. Attend emergency calls and carry out emergency repair works outside normal working hours when required
6. Conduct internal facility inspection or audit as required
7. Ensure work safety while carrying out daily works.
8. Maintain good inventory control of related stores.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Entry Requirement
1. (a) A Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent;
OR
(b) 5 years of relevant working experience as skilled worker in the field of Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
OR
(c) Completed a recognized Technician Apprenticeship in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
2. A knowledge of English and Chinese equivalent to Form 3 (before 2012) / Secondary 3 standard.
3. Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).Preferred Attributes
1. Grade B of Registered Electrical Worker under Electrical and Mechanical Services Department.
2. Have good knowledge in site safety, building works / building services facilitates of hospitals/ healthcare buildings.
3. Have 5 years' experience in handling operation and maintenance of related building facility and / or supervision of renovation projects is an advantage.
4. A certificate in building studies/construction course/building surveying, or equivalent.
5. Proficiency in the use of computer software, such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
6. Good command of written and spoken Chinese and simple English.
