The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- assisting in the preparation of necessary materials and equipment for tutorial classes;
- ensuring smooth operation and maintaining laboratory safety in the Clinical Nursing Education Centre;
- assisting with equipment and materials management, as well as clearing the laboratory after tutorial classes;
- providing support for final year projects;
- ensuring that laboratories, materials and equipment are kept clean; tidy and in good order;
- supervising and instructing students on the correct use of equipment and materials as well as promoting good laboratory practice;
- with the possibility of working irregular hours when required; and
- undertaking any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- a recognized degree in Nursing or a related health discipline;
- good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
- a strong sense of responsibility; and
- preferably a qualified first aider.
