- Lead efforts in identifying high-potential employees and integrate targeted development events to strengthen succession planning and future capability building within the branch.
- Manage regional talent initiatives such as assessments, leadership development programmes, and high-potential employee schemes to nurture future leaders.
- Oversee the full journey of early-career talent by designing and executing Management Trainee and Internship programmes in close collaboration with HR Business Partners and business leaders.
- Utilise HR data analytics to assess the effectiveness of various programmes and provide insights for ongoing improvement of talent development activities.
- Drive adoption of digital learning platforms to create scalable, inclusive learning experiences that reach all employees regardless of location or background.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements by maintaining accurate learning records in accordance with HKMA and SFC standards.
- Support the rollout and localisation of global and regional learning initiatives to ensure relevance for the Hong Kong branch.
- Deliver targeted local learning programmes as well as induction sessions designed to enhance onboarding experiences and skill development for new hires.
- Lead execution of employee engagement surveys and pulse checks, developing communication strategies that drive participation while facilitating meaningful follow-up actions.
- Partner with regional teams to deliver Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) & CSR events that align with MUFG’s values.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Management or a related discipline is required for this position.
- A minimum of five years’ relevant experience within HR functions such as Talent Management, Employee Engagement or Learning & Development is essential.
- Demonstrated interest in digital innovation or proven ability to leverage technology effectively for enhancing learning outcomes is highly valued.
- A proactive approach as a dependable team player who communicates openly and constructively to foster collaboration across teams is important.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint for presentations, Excel for data analysis, and Word for documentation is necessary.
- Excellent presentation skills combined with facilitation abilities enable effective delivery of training sessions or workshops at all levels.
- Familiarity with frameworks related to talent management, organisational culture or change management supports successful project implementation.
- Proven track record managing stakeholders at multiple levels—including senior leadership—ensures alignment on key initiatives.
- Experience leading country-level projects or large-scale HR initiatives demonstrates your capacity for handling complex assignments.
- Analytical thinking paired with problem-solving capabilities allows you to interpret data insights for continuous improvement.
