The Department of Sports Science and Physical Education invites applications for the position of Senior Research Assistant (External Fund)/ Research Assistant / Junior Research Assistant.Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above in Exercise Science, Nutrition, Physical Education, Public Health, or other relevant disciplines (for Research Assistant/ Junior Research Assistant) or a Bachelor’s degree or above in the abovementioned disciplines plus four years’ post-qualification relevant experience (for Senior Research Assistant (External Fund)); (ii) good communication and interpersonal skills; (iii) a strong sense of responsibility and self-discipline; and (iv) a genuine interest in exercise science, nutrition and fitness. Having relevant experience in exercise training, nutrition analysis and proficiency in computer data processing (e.g., Microsoft Excel, R Studio) or multimedia skills will be advantageous. Fresh graduates with passion in exercise science and looking for postgraduate opportunity are also welcome.The appointee will assist with research projects related to exercise training, nutrition, physical fitness and cardiometabolic health across different populations. Duties include (a) supporting administrative work and coordinating research project; (b) collecting data managing and analysing database; and (c) performing other tasks as assigned.
