Job Category: Regulatory Affairs & EngagementJob Description:Working Location: Kai Tak, Kowloon CityEmployment Duration: 24 months / PermanentIn support of the Company's business development, we are looking for a high calibre Corporate Affairs (CA) professional to join the Corporate Affairs (Business Operations) Department of CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. The appointee will be responsible for providing CA support to the operations business groups, in particular in planning and execution of the regulatory affairs and stakeholder engagement initiatives, as well as publicity programmes to promote the Company's power expertise, to reinforce our corporate image as a reliable electricity provider in powering Hong Kong.The appointee will provide all-round support in CA activities including but not limited to the following:
  • Support overall communications in relation to the Company's regulatory affairs and stakeholder engagement
  • Provide CA advice and support to line departments of business groups on external communication matters, including issue and crisis management
  • Monitor and analyse views and sentiment on regulatory issues from a wide range of stakeholders, and produce summaries and analysis reports in an efficient manner
  • Prepare bilingual publicity materials, including but not limited to press releases, speeches, presentations and articles
  • Handle media enquiries related to regulatory issues and take up on-call duties as required
  • Plan, execute and support stakeholder engagement activities and media events
  • Provide support on corporate membership and sponsorship matters, including budget control, systematic record management and website updates
  • Assist in cross-team support and ad hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
  • A recognised Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Translation or other related disciplines
  • A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience, preferably in public affairs, media communications, policy research or stakeholder engagement
  • Well versed in current affairs and political landscape, and versatile in issue management and stakeholder engagement. Experience in journalistic field a plus
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Chinese and English) including PowerPoint and Excel, and knowledge of design and video editing software for social media communications
  • A good team player who is proactive, result-oriented, able to work independently and under pressure to deal with complex and multiple tasks under tight deadlines
