- Foster a collaborative working relationship with key counterpart functions, such as Compliance, Legal, Risk Management, Credit, IT, Operations, Finance and others.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with representatives of all relevant P&S approval/ review business and support units.
- Drive launches of new P&S approvals (‘NPA’); contribute at all stages of product approval and implementation (e.g. business case, risk analysis, operational and control processes, system requirements, etc.) through engagement with the relevant stakeholders.
- Manage established and existing P&S’ through regular reviews as part of the lifecycle management (‘LCM’).
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive offering landscape, as well as regulatory development, to support the Product Owners’ business goals in conjunction with regional (as well as global) strategies.
- Identify opportunities to enhance functional efficiency and productivity, proposing process improvements and workflow optimisations, where relevant/appropriate.
- Maintain the GPS products and services content and data within an inventory list, in collaboration with the New Product Approval Committee (‘NPAC’) Secretary.
- Support and ensure respective Product Owners to adhere to their P&S management responsibilities and offering scopes.
- Ensure the NPA launches and LCM reviews accommodate all regulatory requirements, changes and developments.
- Adhere to all relevant P&S management and governance related policies, guidelines, manuals and controls.
- Able and motivated to work independently and in a regional (and global) team setup with a positive attitude
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, well-structured and detail-orientated
- Great work ethics with a tight control mind-set
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with different types and levels of stakeholders
- Fast learner and able to work under pressure with good judgement to meet tight deadlines
- Fluent in written and verbal English and preferably Chinese
- 5 - 10 years of working experience in the financial industry
- Sound knowledge of financial and investment products, and good understanding of wealth management business
- Strong presentation and project management capabilities
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- University degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related fields
- CFA, FRM and/or CWPM designation would be an advantage
