Senior Manager - Transformation & Performance, AsiaSTRATEGIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
  • The Transformation & Performance person will be responsible for orchestrating all IT planning and analytical activities to facilitate the development and implementation of Asia IT vision and strategic roadmap. Ensuring strategic alignment among Global, Regional and Local IT teams to enable maximum business impact and synergy in the Asia IT function.
  • The candidate will also drive the creation of and oversee the Asia IT Roadmap, making sure the roadmap and strategy are there for each function and aligned with global roadmap supporting local market needs
  • The candidate will also oversee the IT controlling and budgeting of Regional and Local IT teams; scrutinizing costs and budgets to ensure consistency and alignment between Regional & Local IT investment and the overall IT roadmap, supporting the VP, IT Asia to create an agile IT organization that will support Carlsberg Asia’s vision and growth, and at the same time drive standardization where possible
  • The ideal candidate will work in a highly collaborative team environment with team members across different functions including IT/IT, Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Commercial, Supply Chain, etc. to ensure alignment between IT and business.
The IT Planning and Governance person will:
  • Work very closely with VP, IT Asia to drive the development of the Asia IT strategic roadmap and direction
  • Support the Asia Market IT function to uplift the local IT budget and portfolio management
  • Ensure regional IT projects are aligned with overall business strategy and direction
  • Will work closely with Global PMO and co-own the global strategic direction/priorities and projects.
  • Improve overall Asia IT governance and alignment processes, including IT budget process, IT policy, Contract and Vendor Management governance
  • Coordinate global, regional and market IT teams to ensure the overall strategic alignment across functions
  • Cascade global and regional direction appropriately to IT teams for adaptation
  • Challenge status quo and support the VP, IT Asia to drive continuous performance improvement among team members
  • Drive and manage communications within IT, including townhall, team meetings, market touch base, governance committees, etc. to ensure alignment, transparency, and consistency
  • Develop, drive and facilitate communications to non-IT stakeholders to ensure IT excellence and value-add is made known to our stakeholders
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:IT Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management
  • Co-own and work side-by-side with global IT and oversee, monitor, report and analysis of the IT project portfolio for Asia
  • Be responsible for IT Asia Regional portfolio budget
  • Define, scope and establish the necessary analytics to support the portfolio planning and review process.
  • Ensure total Asia IT portfolios are aligned with business priorities by providing meaningful and actionable insights and analysis around both long term and short-term portfolio planning.
  • Oversee and evolve portfolio management together with global Strategy & PMO. Ensure best practices and transparency among project teams to drive efficiency and transparency.
  • Drive and deliver project governance communications and training to improve consistency and quality in project delivery.
  • Identify and drive processes, policies, plans and tools related to Portfolio, Resource, Demand, Change and Budget Management.
  • Establish planning milestones and review cycles to align with business reviews and budget submission.
IT - Business Governance and Alignment
  • Continue to drive and improve the Asia IT governance model/framework to drive better IT and Business engagement, partnership and communications in Asia and potentially globally.
  • Drive and facilitate the governance boards by functions to drive decision making, set better functional strategy and direction with business, and communications with business stakeholders; and ensure actions and minute items are followed up and reported on.
  • Manage IT-Business communications and maintain a good rhythm, ensure issues and decisions are discussed at the right level of detail to enable Carlsberg to operate effectively and focus on the valuable activities.
IT Finance Control and Budget Governance
  • Lead the budget and forecast review exercise for IT Asia
  • Oversee and monitor the total IT budget in Asia and ensure budget governance
  • Drive and lead the budget process and discussions for IT budget review with Global, Regional and Market IT teams.
  • Review, analyze and challenge the IT budget (Regional and market) according to the Regional and Global IT strategy.
  • Prepare necessary budget analysis and presentations by giving insightful analysis to facilitate decision making and arbitration related to IT budget.
  • Develop and implement key budget performance indicators and trend analysis to facilitate budget outlooks and perform budget simulations.
  • Establish instructions / guidelines / procedures / processes to ensure timely budget submission and reviews among IT teams.
  • Work closely with VP, IT Asia, Head of IT Strategy & PMO, Market CFOs and Market IT teams to ensure IT budget is in line with business priorities.
  • Monitor on-going budget vs actual accuracy and establish the necessary analytics for communication with functional teams and market IT teams.
  • Ensure forecast accuracy with ongoing YTD vs Forecast/budget review process.
  • Manage and support IT Audits as required.
Stakeholders Management & Communications:
  • Act as point of contact for Regional IT for all strategic planning, portfolio management and IT governance matter.
  • Define Asia IT communication plan to drive better IT communications with stakeholders, to enhance visibility of IT delivery and value-add.
  • Drive and facilitate communications within IT across functions at regional and local level - ensuring ongoing communication regarding end-to-end solution alignment, transparency and consistency.
  • Be the influencer and change agent on Asia Transformation.
  • Drive IT communication and sharing in the region and act as a knowledge hub for planning and portfolio matters.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Demonstrate experience to think strategically, tactically and operationally.
  • Solid experience in managing a team of IT professionals.
  • Experience working at a Regional level (with multiple countries).
  • Experience of strategic level planning and implementation in relation to the use of IT
  • Experience of leading successful teams through times of significant organizational changes.
  • Experience with agile frameworks and methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum, Lean, etc.
  • Demonstrate success in influencing skills to achieve alignment in senior leadership, business stakeholders, and cross functional team.
  • Ability to understand the benefits and challenges of having a standard end-to-end process model, and the connections between processes, applications, master data and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills and change management across organizational level & different cultures.
  • Ability to work within a continuously changing environment.
  • Solid experience in IT strategic planning, portfolio/program management and governance.
  • Ability to identify, maintain and share process knowledge.
  • Discipline to embrace methods, techniques, notations, standards and best practices
  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Result oriented, incl. attention to details, but at the same time ability to prioritize and schedule workload.
  • Certification in Agile Facilitation, Agile Coaching and Scrum Master is a plus
EDUCATIONAL / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or similar discipline
  • Language:
Fluency in English– written and spoken, additional Asian languages are a plus.
  • Experience:
